Happy New Year – Start New Year with Mental Health

Join us for an evening of education about women and overcoming substance use disorder.  You will learn:

— Fundamentals of substance use disorder (signs of distress, diagnostic criteria)

— How gender-specific treatment for women differs from general treatment — American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Levels of Care and how they are determined

— Signs a loved one is struggling and what to do next

— What makes treatment offered by Women’s Recovery (Denver and Summit) so special?


Starting January 10, we begin a new Peer-to-Peer class.  NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a safe, confidential space. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment.  NAMI Peer-to-Peer helps you:

  • Set a vision and goals for the future 
  • Partner with health care providers 
  • Develop confidence for making decisions 
  • Practice relaxation and stress reduction tools 
  • Share your story 
  • Strengthen relationships 
  • Enhance communication skills 
  • Learn about mental health treatment options
